My mom and I love coming here for dinner. Their cheese plate is really good. The variety of cheese and the warm sweet bread is a must try. The butter lettuce cups are my number one favorite, very tangy and refreshing. We recently tried the crispy rice which was amazing a must try with the ginger and lemon. I'm ambiance really nice they always ask if we have a reservation for some reason we never do but we still get seated. Which is very nice of them. The only thing that really bothers me is one of the hostess in the front is terribly rude every time we have come here. I thought she was just having a bad day but it appears that she's always like that. She's very sarcastic and make smirky remarks. If she was gone and then I would give a five star rating. Except for the hostess I give this place a five stars

Was here yesterday for Valentine's day dinner. Everything was pretty good. From service to the food... However, there were a few flaws. The food did take somewhat long to come out. I honestly don't think the dry age steak was worth $75 since it wasn't even as tasty as the hanger steak. Both steaks overall seem to be very tender and juicy, however; the hanger steak was more flavorful. The butter salad was good. Very tasty but they were stingy on the amount of tomatoes and avocado. There were only a few pieces of each. The cheese plate seem a bit too simple for the price if compared to other places that charges around the same price. Our server was great. I do feel it would have been a better experience if the restaurant offered some kind of complimentary bread or chocolate since it was Valentine's day. Overall, I seriously think you will be better off with the hanger steak. If you're really hungry then order 2. It will still be cheaper since it is $26. Will I come back? Maybe...I dunno Parking lot...not sure. They mentioned that we can park in the back but mostly street parking.

We were a bit early for our reservation but the host gladly seated us without our entire party present. The waitress (my apologies for not having her name) was exceptional. She was attentive, gave us time to enjoy each appetizer / entree before bringing the next round of food. We are adventurous eaters and loved the menu. Though it is not expansive, the items offered were delicious. Hamachi Tartare served with tomato chip and micro herbs. Pass. Simply too little for too much. It seemed the hamachi was playing hide and seek under the two slices of tomato chips... and when we found it, we thought, "that's it"? Peaches and Burrata drizzled with honey .... get this please. One of the best we have had. Tempura Cauliflower... wow. Served piping hot, with thai chili, thai basil, and lime. AMAZING. Let it cool down a minute, or your taste buds will not be able to enjoy the rest of your meal. Wagyu beef tartare was delicious, but my preference is Carpaccio, thinly sliced beef rather than chunks of beef, mixed with the add-ins. The rigatoni with crushed meatballs was a perfect combination of flavor, spice, and a rich sauce, swimming through tubes of rigatoni. A must. My husband and I shared the Kerchief, pasta layered with roasted mushrooms, house made ricotta, a poached egg underneath swimming in browned butter. UMMMMM..... YUMMMMM. The pasta was over the top, homemade delicious ribbons of perfectly cooked and presented pasta. Luckily we shared our entrees amongst the 4 of us, as we also got dessert. Don't judge. Celebrations of birthdays and moving away... so yeah. Overall, this was a great experience. It wasn't too loud as we were able to have perfect conversation without shouting on a Friday night. The staff are wonderful and accommodating. We will be back.

Let's start with something important - You can park behind the restaurant for free. This alone warrants a 5 star experience. We sat at the chef's counter because that was what was available to us...Sure tables are more comfy but we really enjoyed the open kitchen experience at the counter and found it fun to watch everything being made. I had a Strawberry Manhattan to drink which was made with House Infused Strawberry Bourbon, Carpano Antica, Punt e Mes, Bitters. I took notes but feel the alcohol may have been in effect because this is what I wrote: I drink too sweet which my wife like you need flavor me. (Maybe in the future we should take notes on the drink after just a few sips...We'll just assume I enjoyed it.) For food we started with the Sunchoke and Coconut Curry. This was very satisfying and tasty, even without the house-made naan (yes, house-made naan) which was, on its own, very satisfying and tasty. This is what all naan should be. I don't know what all other Indian restaurants are thinking of when they serve naan, now that I've had this. We also had the Citrus Salad which I don't currently see on the menu, so kudos for to them for changing their food seasonally...it included two types of oranges. It was refreshing, but mostly tasted like oranges without much of a sense of the olive oil or spices it was supposed to be marinated with it. It was a refreshing start for sure. Along came the Saffron Mushroom Ragu - This was extremely fresh tasting. The cheese in the sauce was delightfully present, and the mushroom tomato ragu had an almost meat like texture to it. This was an excellent dish. The String Beans were also extremely fresh. My wife described it as "got these at the market this morning fresh". They were very crispy and refreshing, and served with a dressing that was reminiscent of ranch, but so much fresher and fluffy. We'll definitely be back to try more, especially with plenty of vegetarian options, super fresh tasting food, and a menu that changes often. Save seats at the counter for us!

Yes, I found this on Jonathan gold's list too, thought I'd try it out. 3.5 stars. I want this place to succeed because the valley's in need of better restaurants. That's said, it was kind of average. Maybe I ordered the wrong dishes? Food: i got meatballs, ragu, butter lettuce salad and fries. Meatballs are good, ragu was good, fries were very mediocre and over fried. Salad was decent. Portions we small ish Price: a little expensive but not horrible. $10 for average fries is really not worth it. We got 4 dishes (not entrees), 2 drinks. Total was 80 + tip. Service: it was fine. Hostess was nice and accommodating Ambiance: nice, not pretentious. Parking: valet in back, but plenty of street parking

Bellwether was a delightful surprise. I don't frequent Studio City often but the street had tons of restaurants to choose but I was on a mission and headed my way to Bellwether. Parking was available on the street and it was free since it was a Sunday. I made a resy and was seated quickly after I arrived. It was DineLA so they had a DineLA option and the regular menu. The server suggested we order from both so we looked over the menu and ended up ordering 7 dishes across both menus. All dishes were on par and scrumptious but there were some stars in the bunch. The tempura cauliflower was great with its crunchy exterior and its textural interior with the cauliflower. It came with nam pla which is like a Vietnamese fish sauce mixture that added some umami flavor. I also enjoyed the skirt steak with the mushrooms and shishito peppers. Steak was menu rare just the way I like it and the mushrooms.and shishito peppers had a soy-like glaze that was savory yet sweet. The duck confit was another star with the crispy skin. The flavor had that slight game-y flavor that you get with duck. The fat could've been rendered a bit more but I guess fat is flavor right? Finally, the pasta was great. The meat was render and the pasta was cooked al dente so you could feel the bite of the pasta. I see why it was mentioned in so many reviews. The DineLA price is $29 for three dishes so if you see items on that menu and also the regular menu, check the prices to maximize the value of DineLA since portion sizes are the same across both menus. Give the place a try. If I didn't live so far I would definitely come more often.
